FAQ

More Information:

  • Q. Why do you use the five-sense approach?
    A. Resterra Consulting has helped many individuals achieve a higher quality of life through stress management. By using this simply and logical approach, we’ve found with many of our clients a clear connection between stress relief and meeting the needs of their five senses.
The flexibility of this approach allows us to customize a relief plan based on individual needs. It only makes sense if someone is most relaxed through therapeutic touch to recommend a protocol that focuses on this tactile option, or if someone is particularly influenced by sound, to suggest they use soothing music for the ultimate in relaxation.
  • Q. I already have techniques I’ve been trying to relieve stress. Should I continue using those?
    A. If a strategy is working for you, you should stick with it. However, many people come to us seeking help when they’re frustrated with other approaches that prove to be time-consuming, costly and ineffective. Our strategies don’t have to function alone; they can also be used to support and enhance other effective methods.
  • Q. Can’t I just research effective relaxation techniques on my own?
    A. Yes, there’s nothing wrong with doing your own research. But many find the research cumbersome–just another task to add to an already long and stressful to-do list. Knowing where to look can be tricky if you’re not knowledgeable in the field. And unfortunately, not everything you read on the internet is accurate.
Vetting the millions of results you get from a single Google search is both time-consuming and complex. And there’s no guarantee the results you get will be effective for your individual needs. We’ve used our expertise to cull research from reliable sources, saving you the stress of trying to do so on your own.
  • Q. Is your service expensive?
    A. No. Resterra Consulting is committed to offering reasonable prices. We also offer frequent promotions, discounts, trial services and even occasional free services for our clients. We don’t force you to sign up for expensive long-term contracts or memberships, and there are no hidden fees. Also, we are a consulting service, not a clinical provider. Because we don’t offer things like therapeutic counseling and medication, we’re further able to keep costs manageable.
  • Q. I can’t seem to find enough time to get things done, and that causes me a lot stress. How will I be able to make time for this?
    A. We know you’re looking for stress relief that works and fits your busy schedule without causing additional anxiety. So we’ll customize what we do based on your needs. Prefer a brief consultation, weekly meetings or another meeting regiment? We’ll work with you, meeting at your convenience face-to-face, over the phone, email or Skype.
  • Q. I run a business. Should my company invest in stress management for its employees?
    A. The bottom line says it all. When workers feel their employers care about their health and well-being, they’re more productive. Employees are also more collegial to work with and more likely to stick around for the long haul. Contact us to learn more about how we can help your employees get the most of their day.
  • Q. I’ve been suffering from chronic mental illness. Would your service benefit me?
    A. Perhaps. Resterra Consulting does not offer clinical services like therapy and counseling. But as a former mental health counselor, I urge you to seek proper clinical care if you have been suffering from chronic mental illness. It’s always best to ask your counselor or psychologist before seeking additional help.
  • Q. Should I be concerned about the confidentiality of our sessions?
    A. All of our work with clients is confidential; we will not disclose any personal information. The more information you’re comfortable sharing, the better our chances of finding solutions that work for you. However, we will work with whatever information you’re willing to provide.
  • Q. Can my insurance cover the cost of your service?
    A. Unfortunately, we do not currently accept any insurance as a form of payment. Remember, however that we are strongly committed to keeping our pricing flexible and low.
